Come visit our new Gallery located at 3146 Hwy 6 Trail in Homestead, Iowa, one of the Amana’s seven villages. Next to our new workshop, you’ll find our newly renovated art gallery filled with award winning metal sculpture for the home and garden. The original building was built in 1932 as a gas station. The building was constructed of brick that came from the dismantled calico mill. We were able to use some of the original bricks in our renovation. Our workshop next door, originally known as the Homestead Sandwich Shop was built in 1932 using these same bricks.
There’s a lot of history in these buildings, many people who have visited, many people who have worked here before us; we hope to honor them by revitalizing the space into a thriving center for art. We offer copper demonstrations in our shop so people can see how each piece is custom made by hand. In our gallery, we offer a relaxing atmosphere filled with imagination, and the project we are now looking forward to; our gardens.
We’re getting ready to break ground on our expansive gardens and ponds, which will be started this Soon. Be sure to check out our work in progress.
